Morning mood cardigan
This soft and cozy cardigan knits up really fast.
I designed it for the knitters wanting a simple and great result without too many intricate sts or techniques involved.
Sizes
Finished chest, after washing/blocking and worked at gauge: Size 1: 3 - 6 months 47 cm/18.5”
Size 2: 6 months– 1 yr 53 cm/20”
Size 3: 1 yr – 2 yrs 60 cm/23.5” Size 4: 4 yrs – 5 yrs 66.5 cm/26”
Size 5: 6 yrs– 7 yrs 73 cm/29”
Construction
The cardigan is worked top-down and seamlessly.
The upper back and fronts features a small “yoke” in garter-sts shaped with simple short-rows to create slightly sloping shoulders.
Materials
Yarn: I recommend that you use a fingering/sport weight yarn that knits up to gauge. It is important that you work according to gauge to achieve a great result! I used Fru Valborgs , ”Silky yak singles”, in the colour-way Night Hawk to work the cardigan. This yarn is of fingering weight and comes in skeins of 120 gr/4.23 oz and 480 m/525 yards. You will need approximately 300/360/450/550/675 m = 325/395/490/600/735 yards of above yarn. Needles: straight, or circular needle, needle size 3 mm/US2.5 to work the upper body and lower body.
You may use the same needle to work the collar. A set of DPNS, size 3 mm/US2.5 to work the sleeves.
Gauge
24 sts and 24 rows in garter/stitch-pattern = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.

Knitting skills: adventurous beginner.
