Description:
Mitten is cast on at the cuff and worked bottom-up in the round in a single colour in ribbing. A Latvian braid separates the cuff from the body of mitten, which is worked in stranded colourwork. The thumb gusset is worked at the same time as the body, then thumb sts are put on hold while the body of mitten is finished. Thumb is worked last.
