The Morph shawl is a garter stitch asymmetric triangle with stripes of slowly transitioning handspun colour contrasted by simple mosaic panels in a solid colour. An ombre effect is created as the contrast gradually takes over the body of the shawl and morphs into the dominant colour by the end. It is an easy and meditative knit that provides lots of visual colour interest as you relax your way through making a light and bouncy shawl you can wear every day.

The pattern has fully written instructions with stitch counts and mosaic details. It also includes a chart for the people who prefer a visual presentation of the mosaic, as well as a detailed ticksheet for every row of the pattern.

Yarn Requirements
MC (main colour): 2 skeins of Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool at 183m/200yd per skein (sample used approx. 326m/357yd col. Close Call).
CC (contrast colour): 2 skeins of Hudson + West Co WELD at 183m/200yd per skein (sample used approx. 332m/363yd col. Cabernet).
Yarn substitution: Light sport weight to heavy fingering weight yarns at approx. 366m/400yd per 100g/3.5oz are best.

Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6) needles. I like to use an 80cm/32” circular needle set but straight are fine also.
1 stitch marker, and a tapestry needle for finishing.

Tension/Gauge
19 sts x 38 rows to 10cm (4”) over garter stitch and mosaic pattern after blocking.

Finished Measurements
Length: 205cm/81”, Depth: 49cm/19”, Cast off edge: 105cm/41” after blocking.
