I am a big fan of the Kirby series and Morpho Knight is one of my favourite characters. Its design is what initially drew me in, the way that it combines the coolness of the knight-styled characters with that butterfly motif. But as a secret boss, I feel like there is zero chance of getting any official merchandise of Morpho Knight. So, I thought, why not create a plush myself?

The finished plush is roughly 12 cm tall by 12 cm wide (18 cm including the wings) (that’s 4.7 x 4.7 inches, and 7.1 inches wide including wings).

The body is made with worsted weight yarn while the details, wings, etc are DK weight yarn. Gauge for worsted weight yarn is 19 sts x 26 rows = 10cm.

04/05/23 update: Fixed an error in instructions, added an explanation of binding off through the back of loops as I haven’t found an explanation online that matches how I did it.
