Mors hel socks
by Inga skeie
Mors hel meaning my grandmother’s heel is a simple top down sock with an interesting heel construction.
The pattern comes in three sizes for both fingering and sport weight yarn and is easily modified to fit snugly on your foot using gusset decreases.
The samples used contrasting colors for heel, cuff and toes but it is also possible to knit the sock with only one color.
Another sample held fingering merino together with silk mohair to create a fabric similar to a sport weight yarn
The possibilities are endless, I hope you enjoy this traditional heel construction passed down for generations :D
