Morwen Cowl
by Sue Gleave
I named this pattern after my dad’s last boat. He’s no longer with us, but was a passionate sailor and so I’ve combined the blues & greens of the sea with shetland Crest of the Wave lace pattern to create a pretty and versatile cowl, perfect for wearing indoors or out on the ocean wave!
Morwen is worked in the round, using 2 yarns held together on 5mm needles. It’s a very simple lace pattern and knits up quickly.
The pattern is given for 2 sizes of cowl;
i. 76 cm circumference cowl, 34cm deep
ii. 94 cm circumference cowl, 28 cm deep
The pattern includes written and charted instructions.
