Mosaic
Simple mosaic stitches, whether worked on a Magic Number or not, are extremely effective with hand-dyed yarns. Here, an easy geometric motif stretches the Magic Number enough to pattern on a size small. A hand-dyed yarn with high contrast will show patterning even more. Selected a layered or solid color with some weight contrast, either heavier or lighter, to make sure the pattern shows. To maintain patterning for larger sizes, one option is to work center panels on your Magic Number, then add gussets at the sides to achieve the desired width. Or, toss your fate to the wind and make larger sizes per the pattern numbers. You might not get pools, but you will get mosaic magic!
