There are 12 designs by 7 designers, from all around the world, all working together to produce the patterns for this gorgeous CAL! It is worked in mosaic overlay crochet which is only worked on the front side and yarn is cut at the end of each row. A neat border is worked to enclose all those pesky ends!

This pattern is suitable for mosaic beginners as long as you know crochet basics and can research YouTube videos for help if you need it.

Included are basic instructions on how to crochet mosaic overlay and how to follow a chart. It contains written instructions as well as a chart (marked with Xs). There is a link to a full video for this pattern.

One repeat of the pattern measures approx. 17 x 14cm (10 ¾” x 5 ½”) using Stylecraft Special DK and a 4mm hook.

There is an option of adding another colour to the brim and pompom of the hat by carrying yarn on a few rows. There is an additional chart and additional written instructions just for those 4 rows. When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out.
