I used red heart super saver in black and artists paint and a 4 mm hook. Any yarn with a similar weight will work for this pattern.
When working this pattern, each round will begin with a chainless stitch, see special stitches for instructions. Each round will be joined using an invisible slip stitch.
During the mosaic portion of the pattern, you will turn at the end of each round after joining. Also in this section each DC will be placed in the open stitch of the pervious round in the same color in front of the chain spaces. (See video) You will also skip 1 for every chain 1 to leave an open stitch so the pattern can be worked. Rows written in red are worked in a variegated yarn and the rows written in black are worked with black or another solid color of your choice. All SCs at the beginning of the round will be worked as CLSC. All DCs, no matter where they fall in this section will be worked as a normal DC.
When changing colors, for the last sticth of the round, your final yarn over before you pull through and finish the stitch should be done in the new color, slip stitch in your new color and then begin the new round.
