This lovely small table runner is done in mosaic overlay crochet.

Who doesn’t love a nice house design? Or is it just me.

It’s a written pattern with a chart (marked with Xs). Pattern is written in US terminology. It’s an easy method using basic SC and DC stitches and is worked from the right side only. The SCs are worked in the back loop and the DCs are worked in the front loop 2 rows below. This method is described in more detail in the pattern.

When choosing colours, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out.

The runner in the photos measures 30 x 5 ½ inches (76 x 14cm) not including the fringe and using Scheepjes Catona and 3mm hook. Any yarn can be used but size will vary depending on yarn and tension. The pattern repeat is 36 stitches.

This pattern can easily be adapted for a blanket or larger table runner.
