Do you need a gorgeous cowl to show off this winter? This pattern uses a classic simple diamond design to create a modern double loop cowl (also known as infinity scarf) OR a single cowl. Diamonds are jewels so hence the name!

The pattern is rated beginner mosaic level as it consists of basic mosaic overlay crochet stitches which are SC and DC (US terminology) or DC and TR (UK terminology). It is worked in the round like a tube so just a few ends to weave in!

Pattern includes:

  • full written instructions
  • Chart
  • instructions on mosaic overlay crochet techniques and chart reading
  • Yarn suggestions
  • instructions for adjusting the size
  • link to my video for an invisible join

As the design is a 12 stitch repeat, the size of your cowl can be easily adjusted.

When choosing yarn for mosaic, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out. However, with this design I chose very similar colours for a more subtle contrast. Included are some other possible yarn colour combinations for a subtle contrast.
