Mosaic Linen Cowl
I used two skeins of Tristan yarn for this cowl, but had enough left over to make a second cowl with the main color and contrasting color reversed.
Mosaic color work is one of the easiest ways to create color patterns in your yarn. For greater interest, choose two yarns that are very different in either color or value. The pattern in this cowl is rather subtle, so if the colors are too close to each other, you may lose your pattern detail.
It is easy to modify this pattern to make it an infinity scarf instead by increasing your cast on count. Just make sure your number of stitches is divisible by 4.
October 2, 2019: I added a second version of this patter that uses worsted weight yarn. The original yarn is no longer available, so the new version uses Katia Cotton Merino Plus and Cotton Merino Craft.
