• This pattern includes a detailed chart with stitch key and general written directions for using the chart to complete your project. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!

• The chart is for a flat piece using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. Without repeats the pattern works well for a table mat, pillow cover, or bag. Experienced mosaic crocheters will be able to adapt the pattern for a piece with repeats, such as a blanket, afghan, table runner, bed runner, wall hanging, or scarf.

• Two versions of the chart are provided: (1) a print chart with two pages that can be taped together so you can see the entire pattern and (2) a screen chart if you prefer viewing the pattern on a screen.

• The sample table mat was made with worsted weight (#4) yarn and a G (4.0 mm) hook, with a gauge of 5 stitches and 5 rows per inch. It measures approximately 11 inches square.
