Mosaic Meets Lace
Note: This PDF pattern is not suitable for an infant blanket, as fingers and toes may get caught in the lace.
• The pattern is a chart with stitch key (US terms). It includes row-by-row written instructions for the lace insets but not for the mosaic sections of the chart. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!
• The pattern was designed specifically for textured, one-color sections alternating with lace insets.
• The chart is for flat pieces with repeats, using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. It’s ideal for afghans, blankets, table runners, placemats, wall hangings, bags, scarves, and more.
• The sample was made with DK yarn and an E (3.5mm) hook, with a gauge of 6 stitches and 6 rows per inch.
I hope you enjoy working with the chart as much as I enjoyed creating it. I’d love to see your completed project.
Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
