What do you do with all of those small leftover yarn remnants?

Here are two great little projects for a couple of cute mug rugs based on the single crochet spike stitch and the ever popular linen stitch. Each mug rug works up quickly and is a great way to use up small remnants of yarn.

Use any yarn that you wish, and adjust the starting chain to match whatever size you desire. Most of all, have fun!
