Such cute mug rugs to enjoy with your coffee or tea! These patterns are intermediate level because there are some special stitches which are not used in regular Overlay Mosaic. These mug rugs are good little patterns to try something different which you may be able to include in other projects. Both patterns are a 24 stitch repeat if you wish to use them in larger projects.

The pattern contains charts (marked with Xs), written instructions, general instructions about Overlay Mosaic Crochet as well as detail about the special stitches with lots of photos.

When choosing colours, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out.

The mug rugs measure 4” x 4” (10 x 10cm) not including the fringes, when using the recommended yarn and hook. Any yarn can be used. One of my lovely testers used DK yarn with a 3mm hook and the mug rugs measured 11 x 11cm so still a good size for a mug rug. These are great patterns for using up scrap yarn and would make terrific unique gifts!
