Mosaic Nordic Summer Beauty
BUY 2 PATTERNS - 20% DISCOUNT - CODE DIS20
This delightful blanket was inspired by traditional Nordic folk art. It is an overall design that doesn’t have any special stitches so is very suitable for mosaic beginners. Knowledge of basic crochet stitches and being able to keep track of your stitches is all that is needed. The pattern includes general instructions on mosaic overlay techniques and chart reading. It is available in both US and UK terminology.
Pattern includes:
- Full written instructions
- A full-size chart for using with an app/tablet
- 16 smaller chart sections for printing
- Yarn amounts
- Instructions on mosaic overlay techniques and chart reading
- Instructions for a small envelope border
The top pictured blanket used approx. 1300 metres (1422 yds) for the background (colour A), 1200 metres (1313 yds) for the pattern (colour B) and 300 metres (330 yds) for the border. It measures 111cm x 145cm (44” x 57”) and a 3.75mm hook was used. It will be slightly larger with a 4mm hook and DK yarn.
Any yarn can be used for this pattern. Use the recommended hook for the yarn. Size may change depending on yarn, hook size and tension.
When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the design can be seen.
This pattern refers to Bebablanket’s Double Border, Easy Start, 3 magic steps which can be viewed here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/double-border-ea… There is a link to Bebablanket’s excellent video in the pattern.
