This hat has a simple mosaic crochet motif, worked with one colour at a time. It has full written instructions as well as a mosaic chart for the motif section and is suitable for those new to the mosaic crochet technique.

Yarn: 50g of the main colour, 20g of each of 3 contrasts. The total weight of the hat is less than 40g. The sample is shown in Glen with Heather, Gorse and Mustard as contrast colours.

The brim is worked sideways with back-loop crochet and then joined and the body of the hat is picked up from the edge of the ‘ribbed’ brim.

Finished size fits head approximately 58cm/22.5in diameter.
