Mosaic Rare Birds
Note: The pattern does not include directions for making the border.
• This pattern includes a set of 8 detailed charts with stitch key and general written directions for using the charts to complete your project. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!
• The charts were designed for flat pieces with repeats, using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. Directions are provided for combining the charts to make the 16-block sample. Experienced mosaic crocheters will be able to combine the charts for larger or smaller pieces, such as blankets, afghans, placemats, table runners, wall hangings, pillows, bags, or scarves.
• The sample was made with #3 crochet thread and a C (2.75mm) hook, with a gauge of 7 stitches and 6 rows per inch. It measures about 19 wide and 22 inches tall without the border. Any weight yarn may be used for your project.
I hope you enjoy working with these charts as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
