Mosaic Scarf 4
• This pattern includes a detailed chart with stitch key and general written directions for using the chart to complete your project. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!
• The chart is for a scarf or other flat piece with repeats, using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. Experienced mosaic crocheters will be able to adapt the chart for afghans, blankets, pillows, bags, placemats, table runners, and more.
• The scarf features an optional lace edging. Directions are provided, but experience working this edging is recommended. It uses common crochet stitches:
CH = chain
SL ST = slip stitch
SC = single crochet
HDC = half double crochet
• The sample scarf was made with fingering weight (#1) yarn and a D (3.25mm) hook, with a gauge of 5.5 stitches and 5.5 rows per inch. It measures about 7 inches wide and can be made to any length.
I hope you enjoy working with the chart as much as I enjoyed creating it. I’d love to see your completed project.
Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
