• This pattern includes detailed charts with stitch key and general written directions for using the charts to complete your projects. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!

• The charts are for scarves or other flat pieces with repeats, using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. Experienced mosaic crocheters will be able to adapt the charts for afghans, blankets, pillows, bags, placemats, table runners, and more.

• The scarves feature four different edgings: shell, picot, reverse single crochet, and lace. Directions are provided, but experience working these edgings is recommended. They use common crochet stitches:

CH = chain
SL ST = slip stitch
SC = single crochet
HDC = half double crochet

• The sample scarves were made with fingering weight (#1) yarn and a D (3.25mm) hook, with a gauge of 5.5 stitches and 5.5 rows per inch. They measure about 7 inches wide and can be made to any length.

I hope you enjoy working with the charts as much as I enjoyed creating them. I’d love to see your completed projects.

Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
