This pattern is great for scraps - you only need a small amount of yarn in two colors. I used worsted weight (size 4), but you could size up or down if you adjusted your hook size accordingly. This little motif comes out to be about 4 inches in diameter and please note that it is round. It is perfect for my embroidery hoop ornaments or you could use it like an applique and stitch it down onto a blanket.
