This Mosaic Overlay pattern was constructed using black worsted acrylic and Red Heart super stripes variegated worsted weight yarn. The pattern looks good in both solid colors or in a solid/variegated combo. The test sample was made with Aran/Worsted Weight Acrylic, using a 4mm/G crochet hook. For those who prefer a different brand: Lion Brand Landscapes or King Cole Riot acrylic/wool blend would be a couple of worthy choices.

The blanket is constructed from side to side, allowing the fringe to fall on top and bottom. Clipping the fringe an approximate 1” to 1.5” is a tidy and stylish alternative that works well with this design. The Slip Stitches worked from the back side makes a trim, attractive finish.

The 35” x 50” size is easy on the wallet, but the size can easily be increased to fit your needs. The written pattern includes plenty of information on measurements, how to calculate the area of your blanket after increases, and how much yarn you should allow for each square inch if changes are made.

The graph has been merged as a landscape doc with reduced margins to allow for better expansion and viewing. It is printable and fully expandable on any device.
