Mosaic Sweater
Mosaic Sweater is a beautiful sweater with turtle neck and a striking mosaic pattern. The delicate pattern is knitted using slip-stitch knitting, a colorwork technique where you always work with only one color at a time.
The sweateren is knitted with Handdyed Fat Mohair, and is knit bottom-up, and back-and-forth.
The mosaic pattern is described both in text and chart.
First, the back is knitted, starting with the bottom ribbing, followed by the mosaic pattern, and finally garter stitches with short rows are worked to shape the shoulders.
The front is knitted in the same way, however stitches are bound-off for neck, and every shoulder is knit separately.
The shoulder seams are sewn together, and stitches are picked up for sleeves. The sleeves are knitted back and forth in mosaic pattern, and before finishing the sleeve with ribbing, the stitch count is reduced.
Finally the mosaic sweater is sewn together at the sides and sleeves, and a high ribbed neckline is knitted.
