This surprisingly simple Mosaic Toque works up using only single crochet and double crochet stitches worked in front and back loops to create a stunning pattern.

You can use any combination of yarn colors: start with 2 solid colors that will alternate on each row, or use a self-striping or varigated yarn with a solid contrasting color - the possibilities are endless.

You will use less than 1 full skein of each color to create this toque.

Because this toque is worked in the round, you will simply carry the yarn inside the toque when not in use, leaving only the starting and finishing ends to weave in - yay!

In the sample shown, I worked the last 6 rows of the pattern in the main color to create a solid colored crown. You can also work the pattern in alternating colors right up to the last row - either way looks stunning!
