Twilight Houses is an intermediate mosaic overlay crochet pattern as there are some angle/diagonal stitches. There is a video showing how to work the angle stitches.
It looks more gorgeous because of the lovely colour changing yarn in the background. Using a plain colour for the contrast will really make the pattern pop.
The pattern is for a wall hanging but is suitable for a section of a blanket/throw or can be repeated 3 or more times for a whole throw. Included is an additional house design to expand the width for a blanket.
Top pictured wall hanging measures 80 x 47cm (31 ½” x 18 ½”). It is the smaller version.
Pattern contains written instructions and 2 full charts for use with an app and 8 partial charts for printing. Included are instructions on mosaic overlay techniques and chart reading. There is a link to my video showing how to work the special stitches.
I used 5mm dowel and 2 small picture hooks to hang the wall hanging. Details are in the pattern. It used nearly 1 cake of Hobbii Cookie and 1 full ball of Colour Crafter for the smaller version without the extension. Of course, tension can affect the amount of yarn used.
This pattern refers to Bebablanket’s Double Border, Easy Start, 3 magic steps which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mctYBKni1P0&t=1433s
When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out.
