Halloween is my favorite time of the year!
For this mosaic crochet pattern, I’ve made a cute nighttime scene with the focus being a witch in her pointy hat and cloak, holding a wand and staff with lantern hanging to light her way in the night. This pattern provides charts and written instructions for two versions of the mosaic crochet image, one that uses two colors (Simple) and one that uses multiple colors (MoTap). MoTap is the term I use for the combination of mosaic and tapestry crochet techniques.

This, as with all of my mosaic patterns, uses the overlay mosaic crochet technique.

Features of this pattern:
– Full written instructions for each version
– Charts with mosaic special stitches marked
– Photo & written tutorial for using mosaic and tapestry crochet together (MoTap)
– MoTap chart with colors filled in

Written in US crochet terms. Gauge doesn’t matter for this pattern. Any weight of yarn and a hook appropriate for that yarn will work.

I used Bebe Blanket’s new technique for starting and ending mosaic crochet rows and for making an envelope/double border.
