This pattern was originally designed for a mosaic knit-a-long class that I ran in Lincolnshire. The idea is that you will learn five, increasingly complex, mosaic patterns that together produce a beautiful shawl, but also form useful techniques that can be used in other projects. In addition two specific edgings are also provided, meaning you can choose between a picot edge or a modified Vandyke edging along the top edge as the method of cast off and also learn how to pick up stitches along the adjacent side and add an edging along that part of the shawl, too.
