This is a third design in the moss and twig series. There are patterns for a hat and fingerless mittens available. Matching shawl was only a matter of time. As the seasons change the shawl 
had to have a little bit of snow incorporated into the design.
 It’s so very satisfying when everything comes together and brings joy.

ABOUT
The Moss and twig shawl starts with a cable cast on and consists mainly of garter stitch. The eyelet pattern in the middle matches other designs in the series and contrasting colour ribbing keeps the design fresh.

YARN
Heavy worsted / aran weight wool or wool blend 150m/164y in 100g
65% wool and 35% alpaca yarn used in sample 200g MC and 50g CC
. Testers used similar amount or more, up to 25% more.

NEEDLES
6 mm / US 10 circular needle, recommended length 100cm/40”
optional larger size needle (7mm) for ribbing and BO

STITCH GAUGE
11 stitches per 10cm/4” in garter stitch, knitted flat measured after blocking
