The Moss Cardigan is a garment for every occasion, that you can just grab, carry with you and wear it when the temperature starts to drop. Due to the weight of the yarn, it is a warm design, but at the same time it is relaxed and casual. Its “oversize” size provides comfort and movement, while its small details such as the pockets, the i-cord bind-off and the plackets give it a classic and timeless look.
This cardigan is knitted from the bottom up, back and forth, starting with the hem in 1x1 rib and then the body in moss stitch (making pockets in the way). At the height of the underamr. The fronts and back are separated to be knitted separately up to the shoulders. Short rows are worked in the back to shape the neck area. Shoulders are close with an exposed three-needle bind-off. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round in stockinette stitch to finally knit the cuffs at 3/4 arm height. GAUGE: 18 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm, measured over seed stitch and larger needles, after blocking.

YARN: A total of approx 1060, 1170, 1290 (1466, 1584, 1700) 1850, 2030, 2270 meters of DK weight yarn.

Yarn A: Approx 890, 980, 1100 (1256, 1374, 1490) 1620, 1800, 2000 meters of DK weight yarn.
Yarn B: Approx 120, 140, 140 (160, 160, 160) 180, 180, 220 meters of DK weight yarn.
Yarn C: Approx 40 - 50 meters of DK weight yarn (for all sizes)

NEEDLES: 4.5 mm circular needles for body and sleeves.
4.0 mm circular needles for hem and collar. Or size needed to get gauge.

NOTIONS: 1 stitch marker for BOR, 1 lock marker for RS, tapestry needle, stitch holders or scrap yarn, mats and pins for blocking.

El Moss Cardigan es una prenda para toda ocasión, que puedes tomar, llevar contigo y ponértela usarla cuando la temperatura empieza a bajar. Por el grosor del hilado logra ser un diseño abrigador, pero a la vez es relajado y casual. Su tamaño “oversize” aporta comodidad y movimiento, mientras que sus pequeños detalles como los bolsillos, el cierre de i-cord y la solapa le aportan un look clásico y atemporal.
Este cardigan se teje de abajo hacia arriba en plano, comenzando por la pretina en elástico 1x1 y luego cuerpo en punto arroz (haciendo bolsillos en el camino). A la altura de la axila se separan delanteros y espalda para tejerse por separado hasta los hombros, se trabajan vueltas cortas en la espalda para levantar la zona del cuello. Los hombros que se cierran con un cierre de tres agujas expuesto. los puntos para las mangas se levantan y se tejen en redondo en punto jersey para finalmente tejer los puños a la altura de 3/4 del brazo. Los puntos del icord y de la solapa se levantan alrededor de los delanteros y el cuello de la prenda. La solapa se forma trabajando vueltas cortas.
