This was originally a copy of the cowl Gap was selling, but I modified it to fit nicely under a jacket or coat and to be more of a typical cowl. The Gap one wraps twice, but I was impatient and only knit mine to wrap once. This is a very easy cowl to knit and having a seam means you can knit it flat, but if you wanted you can also knit in the round. If you wanted to knit in the round and want yours a similar length to mine then you will need to cast on enough stitches to create 2 feet, 6 inches.
