A bunch of people asked me to make the pattern for this scarf available to them and so I wrote up what I did. (Although it should be noted that I wrote this up AFTER I made the scarf and I didn’t test this pattern to make sure that there are no typo’s or errors. If you find something wrong, and want to let me know, I will correct it here. Otherwise, it should be pretty good and I hope no one will have any problems with it).

The bulk of it is a stitch from a stitch guide (Harmony Guide’s Lace and Eyelet book) but I did widen the Stockinette stitch background and added a border to make the scarf so for those of you who wanted to do what I did, here it is:
