This is a super simple dishcloth, one of my favorite patterns to use when I make dishcloths. It uses the moss stitch (aka woven stitch, linen stitch, granite stitch), a combination of single crochet and chain stitches so it is easy enough for a beginner to make. It is easy to adjust the size to make it as big or as small as you would like.
