Mossy cove is an extra cozy balaclava knit from the bottom up with a folded double thick neckband for extra warmth and protection from the wind. This balaclava is designed to sit just at the base of your neck with short row shaping at the chin and crown of the head for better coverage and fit.

SIZING
1 (2, 3, 4): Womens Small (Womens Regular, Womens Large/Mens Regular, Mens Large)
Designed to be worn with around 2-3 inches, {5-7.5 cm} of positive ease. Measure head circumference and add desired amount of ease. The ribbed face edging will make it more fitted.
Hood Circumference: 23 (24.25, 26, 27.25) inches, {58.5 (61.5, 66, 69) cm}.

YARN
Aran (medium #4):
185 (195, 220, 235) yards, {169 (178, 201, 215) meters}.

Sample uses: Yarn Bee Yarn ID (80% Acrylic, 20% Polyamide - 252 yards {230 m}/142g} in Cafe Au Lait (22).

NEEDLES

• Gauge: US 10 {6.0 mm} circular needles in 16” {40 cm} length. Or size needed to match gauge.

• Rib: 2 sizes smaller than the gauge needles in the same cord length.

OTHER MATERIALS
Yarn needle, stitch marker and an extra needle in the same or similar size to the gauge needles (for the 3-needle bind-off).

GAUGE
Stockinette - Worked Flat: 13.5 sts / 21 rows = 4″ {10 cm}.
