Knit from the bottom up the shawl is bordered with a lace leaf pattern that a beginner lace knitter could easily work. Above the lace leaf border, the yoke of the shawl is worked in a simple shortrow to add a crescent shape while continuing the ribbed design established in the lace leaf border.
