Here’s the crochet pattern for a double thick hooded cowl in the likeness of a moth: Mothman, the Rosy Maple, the Luna… you can choose your colours in whatever likeness you want.

• 6mm hook for the cowl, 4mm hook for the detail/pieces
• Stitch markers or similar (optional)
• Yarn needle (for decorative sewing)
• 85 mm Pompom maker and thread (template given for handmade one- cardboard is ideal for this)
• Worsted weight Yarn (weight- Medium/4): Loops & Threads” Impeccable” was used for original (measurements given for parts so you can choose your colour combo).
– 600 yards/575 meters inside colour (+60 yards/ 55m for lip)
-- 670 yards/610 meters outer colour (+60 yards/ 55m for lip)
-- 50 yards/45 meters for eyes (minimal for white highlights)
-- 72 yards/65 meters antennae (9 yards/8 meters for surface details)
