These Mother & Child Beanie Patterns are simple and quick to knit. Knit one for yourself
and a matching one for your child/children.
There are instructions for stripes in the child’s beanie or you can just knit it in one colour.
The beanies are a loose fit that hug the head but don’t put pressure on yours or your
child’s head.

Materials
• 150g of any 12ply yarn, just check gauge. (This will make 1 of each beanie)
• 6.5mm (US 10.5) 40cm long circular needles
• 5.5mm (US 9) double pointed needles x4
• stitch marker
• tapestry needle

Gauge
4 stitches x 5 rows = 1inch (knit in the round)

Measurements
Children’s size: Band width 20cm (unstretched) & Beanie height 20cm
Adult size: Band width 23cm (unstretched) & Beanie height 23cm
