Mother's Day Scarf
This is an easy, but beautiful, scarf that is light enough for spring or summer wear, especially when it is created in linen or linen-blend yarn. The stitch pattern requires only the most basic crochet techniques: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and a rarely used double crochet.
Yarn & Hook: 1 skein of Louet Euroflax sport-weight (100g, 247m) or 2 skeins of Cascade Ultra Pima Fine (50g, 125m). I love the feel and cool characteristics of cotton and linen. It loves to be washed and gets softer and more comfy with wear and washing. I used a 5.0mm crochet hook. If you change yarn used, you will want to change the hook size. For example, sock yarn, or other animal fiber fingering yarn, might work best crocheted with a 4.0mm hook
Gauge: Gauge is not particularly important for this scarf. It is most important that you like the way your fabric looks as you crochet.
Sizes: Lightly blocked dimensions of the scarf pictured is 178cm x 19cm (70” x 7”). It used every bit on one skein of Euroflax.
