This kerchief is covered n geometric pattern of stars and diamonds, the beautiful and age-old designs from Orenburg. Knit with very thin silk-mohair, it is wonderfully soft and warm.

The design consisting of the traditional border, inner border and body with large stars and diamonds shows nicely also when the kerchief is worn double. It is large enough to cover the head and shoulders, or to wear it as a large shawl. Such versatility makes the kerchief a very useful colder weather garment.

The kerchief is knit in one piece in a traditional Orenburg construction and utilizes the traditional Orenburg elements. He technique is illustrated with photographs, and the lace is fully charted.
