A change from the triangle scarf/shawl, Mothwing is still a relatively easy make, just using evenly spaced increases to create the shape and a few crossed and raised stitches for a bit of interest. You’ll need to know how to do back post stitches for this pattern. How to cross the stitches is shown.

Available to download in both UK and US terminology, you’ll need:
Approx 350g of DK weight yarn
A 4mm crochet hook
A darning needle for sewing in your ends
