I wanted to make socks with all the remnants of the sock yarn I collected over the years. I really like stranded motifs so I collected a few, made up a few and made a pattern. It is a real motivation to see all the motifs grow as you knit!

I used 10 different colours, most of them under 10 grams. For 3 of the colours I used a bit more: 12, 13 and 17 grams. Of course these socks can also be knit with only two colours for a different effect!

The socks are knitted toe up with an afterthought heel.

This pattern is written for magic loop technique. If you use doublepointed needles, needle 1 and 2 are first needle and needle 3 and 4 are second needle.

There are two versions, one with 68 and one with 72 stitches. This way you can choose the circumference which fits best. The length can be adapted by knitting in the waste yarn for the heel earlier or later.

Ich wollte Socken machen mit den Resten der Sockenwolle, die sich über die Jahre versammelt haben. Ich mag Fair-Isle-Motive sehr gerne, also habe ich ein paar gesammelt, ein paar selber ausgedacht und ein Muster zusammengestellt. Es ist sehr motivierend zu sehen wie die Motive sich entwickeln beim Stricken!

Ich habe 10 unterschiedliche Farben benutzt, von den meisten weniger als 10 Gramm. Nur von 3 Farben habe ich etwas mehr gebraucht: 12, 13 und 17 Gramm. Natürlich können die Socken auch mit nur 2 Farben gestrickt werden für einen anderen Effekt.

Die Socken werden von der Spitze nach oben gestrickt. Die Ferse wird am Ende eingesetzt.

Ich habe das Muster geschrieben für die magic loop Technik. Wenn man ein Nadelspiel benützt, sind die Nadel 1 und 2 die erste Nadel und die Nadel 3 und 4 die zweite.

Es gibt 2 verschiedene Versionen, eine mit 68 und eine mit 72 Maschen. Damit kann man selber den Umfang wählen der am besten passt. Durch früheres oder späteres einstricken des Hilfsfadens für die Ferse kann man die Länge anpassen.
