This motocross beanie was a pattern request from a Ravelrer. She said with a beanie like that she wants to become the “Best” Granny ever!

I’m sure she will! :)
And she will also be the most cool grandma ever!

This is one of my reserve patterns I knit before the last elbow surgery when everybody kept telling me it will become better.. Then came the second surgery… and now I’m waiting again.. It’s getting worse at the moment. Hope for it to become better soon.
At least this is what they keep telling me (dr. and physio).
So if you like, just sing along with the song I made after the first surgery.

At least I had something to do and was distracted from my arm mess.

The beanie has a two color ribbing, followed by a little bumpy track border pattern and the motocross bikers. Dirt is in the air..
Above them there is another dirt track, followed by a little forest, the sun above and a top simulating the tire pattern..

I used 4 - 5 ply Acrylic yarn to knit the beanie. You can also use Merino or sock yarn of similar weight. There might be some minor sizing differences then..

Please note: The smallest size leaves out the forest chart. Otherwise it’s the same.

There are at most two colors in one round. So it is easier to knit than you may think!

Diese Motocross beanie war eine Musteranfrage. Sie meinte, wenn sie so eine Mütze strickt, dann würde sie die beste Oma der Welt werden. Ich denke das läßt sich damit machen! :)

Die Anfrage hat Lisa McFetridge an mich weitergeleitet, weil sie meine Biker beanies schon kannte.
Danke nochmal Lisa an dieser Stelle! Das Muster hat mich etwas von meinem Ellbogendisaster abgelenkt.

Das Muster stammt noch von vor der letzten Ellbogen-OP, als man mir noch erzählt hat, es wird schlimmer, bevor es besser wird.
Das erzählt man mir übrigens grad wieder. Also wieder abwarten.. auch wenn’s weh tut und meine Hand sich grad zur Klaue zusammenziehen mag… und der kleine Finger unkontrolliert absteht und ich Angst habe, damit hängenzubleiben und ihn abzubrechen… er ist ja immer noch taub… dann merkt man das erst sehr spät..
Mal sehen, ob sie diesmal damit recht haben…
Solange sing ich wieder mein Liedle, das ich beim letzten mal schon gemacht hab.

Die Beanie hat einen zweifarbigen Bund, gefolgt von einer Motocrosspistenbordüre und den Motorradfahrern. Dann folgt nochmal die Bordüre und der Wald im Anschluss (bei der kleinsten Größe, entfällt er). Obendrauf strahlt die Sonne, den Abschluss bildet ein Reifenabdrucksmuster…

Ich habe 4- bis 5-fach Acrylgarn für die Mütze verwendet. Ihr könnt aber auch Merino oder Sockengarn ähnlicher Stärke verwenden. Die Größen werden dann leicht variieren.

Es werden maximal 2 Farben pro Runde verwendet, damit ist das Muster auch für zweifarben-Strickanfänger geeignet und leichter zu stricken als Ihr glaubt!
