Thank you so much for your interest in my Motte and Bailey sweater pattern! It was such a FUN sweater to design!

The name comes from a type of castle fortification that originated in Normandy. Interestingly, it can also refer to a debate strategy. Hunt around on the internet and you’ll find all kinds of information on the castle fortification and Motte and Bailey as a rhetorical device!

The sweater features three quarter length colorwork sleeves in two contrasting colors, worked bottom up, and ultimately seamed with a body worked in a third color. The sweater is worked in DK weight yarn.

I look forward to seeing your finished projects and hope you enjoy this project as much as I did! It’s such a fun knit, and a very comfortable garment!

Enjoy!
