Originally designed for The Loveliest Yarn Company Sock Club, I fell in love with the lace pattern but didn’t come up with a name for the pattern until i dyed the yarn! Combined they became these Moulin Rouge Socks!

This is a good project to move to if you have knit a pair of plain socks before and want to make your next pair a little more exciting.

Sizes
To fit foot circumference: 21.5 (22.5, 24, 25.5) cm / 8.5 (9, 9.5, 10) ins

Finished sock size: 17.5 (19, 20, 21.5) cm / 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5) ins

Recommended ease is negative to ensure the sock fits closely against your foot. If you are inbetween sizes, go down a size rather than up.

100g of yarn will make up to a UK size 10 of these socks. Adding a 20g mini-skein as a contrast colour will allow you to make a larger size.

Yarn
Banshee Yarns Yak Sock, 400m/100g, 100g in the main colour and 20g in the contrast colour

Shown in Foretelling (m1) & Inner Priestess (c1). These colours were exclusive to The Loveliest Yarn Company Sock club but other great Banshee Yarns colours in Yak Sock are available.

You can find instock Banshee Yarns colours here.

Gauge
32 stitches and 44 rounds to 10 cm / 4 ins measured over 22 stitches in stocking stitch and one repeat of chart A.
