Mount Adams Super Bulky Hat
Mount Adams is a volcanic mountain in the Cascade Range of Washington state and the inspiration for this hat. Cables represent the mountain covered with soft snow in the winter and the rick-rack ribbing matches the sharp volcanic points seen after the spring thaw. This version is a quick knit in super bulky yarn. Within a few hours you can have a hat perfect for a day of hiking or for quick sale.

Pattern Notes
If the zig zag stitch and decreases are new to you, practice on scrap yarn or use a lifeline periodically in your work. While a beautiful result, fixing mistakes can be tedious.
Hat is knit bottom-up in the round, featuring a 6 stitch cable and rick rack ribs, surrounded by stockinette stitch. Crown is decreased within the pattern. A video demonstrating the decreases can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmqlPI3tnuk
