Mount Rainier Cowl
Mount Rainier Cowl has been updated!
Version 2 has been updated to include modern formatting, fully written and charted pattern instructions and the pattern is now fully accessible!
Enjoy,
Heather
Of all the fire-mountains which, like beacons, once blazed along the Pacific Coast, Mount Rainier is the noblest in form, has the most interesting forest cover, and, with perhaps the exception of Shasta, is the highest and most flowery…
John Muir | 1901 | Our National Parks
The Mount Rainier Cowl was inspired by the sub-alpine wildflower meadows of Mount Rainier National Park. The landscape radiates every color in the spectrum from late July through mid-August. The geometrical architecture of the cowl is inspired by the mountains, offering an opportunity to explore and experiment with color in your knitting.
This cowl is constructed from the bottom to the top and worked on circular needles. The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn. It includes suggestions for measurements.
Important: Mosaic knitting {Complete instructions for Mosaic Knitting are included}. There are a total of 2 charts used in the knitting of the 2 pattern sections.
The ability to read charts OR the willingness to LEARN HOW to read charts is a must. There are NO row by row written instructions.
- Both charts are complete and include a key.
- Both charts have 4-5 reminders of general written instruction included. These serve as mosaic knitting reminders.
