This pattern contains a description of how to knit baby leggings.

MATERIALS:
- short circular needles 40 cm 3,5 mm (16 in US 4) mm for knitting a waistband;
- additional short circular needles 40 cm 2-3 mm (16” US 0 – US 2,5) for temporary storage of “live” stitches when knitting a waistband;
- short circular needles 40 cm 4 mm (16 in US 6) for knitting main part of the leggings;
- circular needles 80-100 cm 4 mm (32 in - 40 in US 6) for knitting legs;
- the cable needle for knitting the Cable Stitch;
- markers;
- tape measure;
- tapestry needle;
- crochet hook 2-3 mm (US 1-3). (We use crochet hook to create a crocheted chain. Because we use the chain stitch method to pick up “live” stitches)
GAUGE OF MAIN PATTERN:
20 stitches х 28 rows = 10x10 cm (4x4”) in stockinette stitch on 4 mm (US 6) needles after blocking. Gauge of main pattern is also 20 stitches х 28 rows.
