Mountain Chickadee
I was inspired to create this blanket for a close friend who was expecting her second baby. We didn’t know if the stork was delivering a baby boy or girl, so I wanted the design to be simple and strong, lacy and defined. I’m delighted with the results. I think it’s a perfect design for boys and girls. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I did.
Instructions are charted and written with full abbreviations for personal preference. All measurements are given in US and metric.
This is a great blanket for anyone new to lace or for experienced lace knitters wanting a quick knit blanket as the 10 row repeat is easily memorized. The little “lovie” size makes for perfect last minute baby shower gifts.
