Winter has set in officially. It has already snowed. My grandson wears a uniform to school but is allowed hat, scarf & mittens of his choice. When I heard him telling me this, I immediately started knitting scarves, & hats for him. He wears them & said his teachers are most impressed! This warms my heart! This is the first time I designed & knitted mittens for him. I designed a mountains knitting stitch pattern and made his mittens in 1 day. The message I send along with his mittens (which permit him to use a pencil, do colouring & play) is from “The Sound Of Music”:
