A knit-purl texture pattern creates eye-catching graphic lines on this fully reversible wrap.

Mountain Top Wrap is a long sideways-knit shawl worked from tip to tip in an elongated diamond shape. This makes it fun to knit and easy to wear.

The original sample is worked in a light DK weight yarn. The pattern provides lots of options for easy adjustments though if you wish to use a different yarn, weight and/or make a smaller/larger shawl according to the yardage you have available.

Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

YARN
Designed for DK weight yarn. The pattern is easily adjustable for other yarn weights and/or yardages.
Yarn used for sample:
Cardiff Cashmere Classic (DK weight, 100% Cashmere, 25 g = 112 m / 120 yd), 7.5 balls used (188 g = 840 m / 900 yd) in colour 717 Sudan.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 20 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in textured stitch pattern after light blocking.
Needles used for sample: 4.5 mm / US 7

Der Mountain Top Wrap (Tuch/Stola „Bergspitze“) zeichnet sich durch ein Strukturmuster aus, das faszinierende diagonale Linien erzeugt, dabei aber sehr einfach zu stricken ist. Die Richtungen der Linien spiegeln sich in der Mitte und erzeugen so einen tollen grafischen Effekt. Das Tuch ist vollständig wendbar und so wunderbar beidseitig tragbar.

Es ist ein langes, seitlich gestricktes Tuch. Man beginnt an einer Spitze und arbeitet sich dann zur gegenüberliegenden Spitze vor. So wird eine längliche Diamant-/Rhombus-/Rauten-Form erzeugt.

Die Anleitung ist für ein „DK weight“-Garn geschrieben, bietet aber auch viele Möglichkeiten zur Anpassung, wenn Du ein anderes Garn / eine andere Garnstärke verwenden oder ein kleineres/größeres Tuch entsprechend der verfügbaren Lauflänge stricken möchtest.

Die Strickanleitung enthält eine ausgeschriebene Version sowie auch eine Strickschrift, so dass Du in Deinem bevorzugten Arbeitsstil vorgehen kannst.
